Recently, CISPES sat down with Norma Guevara, the Elections Secretary of the leftist Farabundo Martí Front for National Liberation (FMLN) party and FMLN representative to the Legislative Commission on Election Reforms, to hear an overview on the major issues at play in March's municipal and legislative elections. Among the issues Diputada Guevara touches upon are the rash of recent electoral reforms - both positive and negative - that will dramatically change how Salvadorans will vote, as well as the ideological attack on the institution of political parties evident in a number of the reforms.
