This fall CISPES is turning the heat up on the outrageous economic policies of the US government.

Coroporate attacks against El Salvador are intensifying. Pacific Rim's lawsuit against El Salvador is officially moving forward in the World Bank and now another mining corporation is following suit with an additional $100 million claim of "lost profits" under CAFTA.

That's why we are gearing up for a busy fall to put grassroots pressure on our Congressional Representatives to speak out against the lawsuits and the failed US trade model that's hurting people throughout Mexico, Central America AND the US. (Stay tuned for ways to take action!)

We have a lot of on-the-ground organizing ahead of us, especially to make the connections between the crisis that U.S. workers and immigrants are suffering and these dangerous trade agreements.

But we need YOU to help us make this happen! We are proud to announce that we are hiring a new organizer in DC to really bring the heat!

This fall, we need to raise $1,000 a month to sustain this half-time organizer position. We can do it if just 40 people commit to giving $25 a month. Click on the big red fist to see a quick video of what your gifts can do! Will you become one of the Faithful Forty?

By becoming a sustainer of CISPES, you are supporting the lifeblood of our grassroots work, our local committees. So to show our thanks, we'll send you a commemorative CD of revolutionary music if you sign up by October 1st!

It's fast, simple and secure to sign-up online, just click here.

In Solidarity,
Alexis Stoumbelis, CISPES Executive Director
