PACIFIC RIM Mining proposes to use 2 tons of cyanide daily and 10 liters of water every second in a country where shortages are common. The people of El Salvador have said "NO" to mining, so the company is suing the government under chapter 10 of CAFTA for $77 million dollars. You can help defend this victory for clean drinking water!

LA EMPRESA MINERA PACIFIC RIM plantea utilizar 2 toneladas de cianuro diariamente y 10 litros de agua cada segundo en un país de escasos recursos hídricos. El pueblo Salvadoreño ha dicho “NO” a la minería - por eso la compañía está demandando al Estado Salvadoreño por $77 millones de dólares, aprovechándose del artículo 10 del Tratado de Libre Comercio con los EEUU (CAFTA por sus siglas en inglés). ¡Ud. puede defender esta victoria por el agua potable y sano!
