(download flyer)

After nearly a century of repression and 30 years of  struggle for liberation, the progressive movement has won the presidential elections  in El Salvador!  Movement organizations and their accompanying political  party, the FMLN, are the latest addition to the breathtaking leftward shift happening throughout Latin America.  Come hear from CISPES organizers who witnessed firsthand the moment in which the Salvadoran people ended decades of right-wing rule.

Delegates who observed the elections will report on how the  left was able to unify and organize for victory, despite massive attempts to defraud the election on behalf of the right-wing.  We will talk about how the social movement plans to seize this opportunity to create alternatives for the people of El Salvador, and the critical role that international solidarity will play.
